FEMALE   BODYBUILDING

New world order

The 2005 World Games in Duisburg, Germany, July 13-17, 2005, brought together a talented collection of male and female bodybuilders to battle it out for medals, recognition and supremacy. This prestigious annual event again provided a sterling showcase for the best amateur bodybuilders from around the globe.

The Duisburg Organizing Committee was gracious in hosting bodybuilding at the World Games, and the IFBB offers thanks to all of the committee's unheralded behind-the-scenes efforts that allowed these iron men and women to shine onstage.

IFBB President Ben Weider extends his thanks to the following federation officials who contributed greatly to the smooth and successful running of the competition: Albert Busek (Germany), Rafael Santonja (Spain), Pamela Kagan (Canada), Tony Blinn (Canada), Javier Pollock (U.S. Virgin Islands), Paul Chua (Singapore), Dr. Eng. Adel Fahim El Sayed (Egypt), Stanislav Pesat (Czech Republic), Pawel Filleborn (Poland), Axel Bauer (Austria), Erich Janner (Germany), Friedhelm Beuker (Germany), Andrey Dolgokir (Ukraine), Mohamed Kamal (Egypt), Christina Kam (China-Hong Kong), Alexandre Pagnani (Brazil), Wolfgang Spieker (Germany), Andre Wouters (Belgium), Eva Sukupova (Czech Republic) and Peter Uricek (Slovakia).

This month's report was prepared with the assistance of Tony Blinn, chairman, IFBB Technical Committee.
